Ok, we'd like to file his AP with the other AOS paperwork (I485, I765, I864). But the directions state that you must attach a copy of any document issued to you showing your present status in the US, an explanation or other evidence showing the circumstances that warrant issuance of an advanced parole document or a copy of the USCIS receipt as evidence that you have applied for AOS.

What do we really need to attach since we are filing it WITH the AOS papers? Can we file it with the AOS papers or do we have to wait to get our first NOA? The reason we are applying for AP is because my brother is getting married in Mexico in May- do we just write a letter stating that and attach it with the other stuff?

Any other suggestions on filing for AP are welcome

File the AP with the AOS package...this in itself is evidence of filing with the AOS :) And include a brief statement/letter as to why you are requesting AP i.e....Whilst my Adjustment of Status is pending, I would like the ability to travel outside the US for a family wedding etc.

Short and simple! Include his name, A# etc on this letter too :)
