USCIS Service Center??

We are getting ready to file for a K-1 visa. However, when looking at the example Letter of Intent on here, it advices we put our USCIS Service Center address.

I am from the UK and wouldn't know what to put there, and i'm guessing my Fiancee, who is from GA, should put the TEXAS USCIS Address in there?

If anyone could confirm that and give me any information we would be very greatful :)

you will be sending your package to texas service center and they will send it to a service center accordingly after cashing the check,so in theory you dont know where your package will go,so put in texas service center's address

The place you mail your petition is not the Texas Service Center. It is the Texas Lockbox. Two completely different things. One is a service center and the other is a place where they accept mail and route it to the proper service center.

Do a search to see what service center serves your State. Put that address.

Well, the Texas Service center serves GA. However, that's where the Fiancee is from and i'm from the UK. Do I have to put the same address on my letter of intenet? I'm assuming I put the address on my letter of Intent as that's what the example letter on this website advised.

The Texas Service Center does not serve GA. Right now, ALL petitions are being sent to Texas. However, there are only two service centers that actually review and approve petitions, and those are Vermont and California. There is no reason to put the Texas address because they will not be reviewing your petition. They will simply do the intake, process the payment, and forward it on to Vermont or California. Find out which of those two services Georgia and put that address.

Actually, according to the USCIS website here (https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=offices.type&OfficeLocator.office_type=SC) the Texas Service Center is the one that serves GA, when I put my zip code in.

Finally found the information I require; they don't make it easy that's for sure. I guess i'll just put the same address on my letter from the UK.

Only California and Vermont process the I-129Fs for K1s. All files are sent to the Texas lockbox, where they are sorted and sent to either Vermont or California. With a couple quick searches, I found out that the Vermont Service Center (VSC) processes files from Georgia. Use their address. :)

actually he shouldnt use their address, the way texas proceeds things is they sent packages to service centers that are not as busy.at the moment considering how slow vermont is,there is a chance that they might send more packages to california rather than vermont.

OP stickt to texas lockbox, where they decide to send your package is completely up to them and out of your control

Alright, sorry, my mistake.... sincerest apologies. I was not aware that USCIS would send packages to other service centers. I was under the impression that files from certain states are always sent to CSC and files from other states were always sent to Vermont. My point, though, was to tell the OP that it will not stay in Texas (although your post leads me to believe that it could really go anywhere!).

Anyway, OP.... maybe since there is all this confusion, you should just put "USCIS Service Center" since according to thelastpetitioner it could go anywhere. :) As long as you send the file to the lockbox, though, I am certain things will be fine. I cannot imagine someone getting a RFE for an incorrect address on the letter of intent. Congrats on getting the submission point, by the way, and best of luck on your journey.

I'm sorry but now I'm confused

I'm sending my first package with the I-129, etc for the first step of the K1 next week. I live in Virginia --- where do I send that package? I seem to recall reading you send two packages, do you send packages to the Texas Lockbox and Vermont (I think that's my Service Center)?

Or for the first step is it just one big package sent to one location?

Sorry - this thread got me completely mixed up!!

Thanks!!

You send one package to Texas. Please read the instructions on the I-129F itself. They will forward it to your service center once they receive the package and process the payment.
