I apologize if it has already been asked somewhere on the forum. I couldnt find the answer to this. Seen many times ppl use the word "touched" here. I wonder what it actually means? Me and my fiance have been waiting for our NOA2 for 4 months already and havent got any news meanwhile. Are we supposed to get contacted in any way? Is that what you mean by "touched"? Shall we get worried?

No-one answered your question yet so I will.

You can register to monitor your case online. There is a date there and it will sometimes change. Lets say you case was accepted 1st Jan, suddenly the date says 12th Jan. Nothing else but the date has changed. This means that someone has touched your file. As JKelly said usually just moving it from desk to desk, or pile to pile, but SOMETIMES it means something.

As for contacted, no. Usually you won't hear anything unless you get an RFE or petition approval (NOA2). It's frustrating but you just need to wait.
