Sorry, I confuse myself easily - I try agian.

IF the I-130 petition was sent to the chicago lockbox

then yer gonna have NVC activity later, for the DS-230 and I-864

IF the I-130 petition was filed directly to HCM, then there is no NVC activity.

But it's Vietnam, and dangit - I've forgotten how it works with NVC.

IF NVC schedules it, you and the beneficiary will receive an EMAIL containing the appointment letter.

My apologies for my confusion - I suffer from slow-brain as the weather gets cold. and it's @#$@#$ cold today.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

LOL, it is freezing here too; I don't want to get out of bed in the morning.

My I-130 was sent to the Chicago Lockbox and was completed by the California USCIS Center. The NVC had reviewed my DS-230 and I-830; my case was completed by the NVC on the 11th of January. I guess the NVC is the one scheduling my interview.

Yes, NVC is the one setup your interview after 2 months starting from the date NVC has completed your case. If your paperwork has sent to HCMC, and HCMC will be setup the interview date for your wife.

Since, NVC has completed your case on 01-11-11 for DS-230, DS-3032, and I-864. You should give NVC a call after 2 weeks of your completion dates. Meaning you should call them after Jan-25 on this coming Tuesday. Keep calling NVC everyday next week to has your interview date setup by NVC, the best time to call NVC is early in the morning 8:00 AM or late around 8:00 PM EST. I called NVC more than 30 times a day to had my wife interview setup.

Last Notes : If you would able get a HOLD of the NVC personel, pretending you don't know your NVC case had completed. Later you act like very happy, thank you, thank you, and talk very nice and sweet with them to ask, beg for them to setup an interview date or ask for advices. Normally after 2 weeks, you should be good to call NVC for interview dates.

Good luck. If you need more infor. feel free to PM.

btw, what is I-830 LOL :bonk:
