The San Diego Zoo is amazing.

Sea World is good, too.

Go across the border and have some real Mexican food.

Sorry....that's all I can think of. I lived in Santa Cruz, which is a little ways away from SD. lol

I agree with the above, especially the zoo. I haven't been out there since the early 90's but the seafront village was a quaint little place and nice for a stroll.

Just came back from a weeks visit. The Nature park is super. About 30 min out of San diego. Tijuana canbe fun, but travel with a group. The metro can take you there for a whopping $2, about a 35 min transit. Seaport village has some interesting shops, nice area to walk around, plus they have the old aircraft carrier,the Miday their for tours (not free) Hortons plaza is a huge mall, plus has a movie theatre, its right by the gaslamp area, which has many restaurants. Hope your not staying at the Pacific Inn by the airport, it sucked!! The metro train is great, I think one can buy a day pass for $5 and its pretty usefful. http://www.sdcommute.com/

There is a deal too with the zoo, nature park and I think Sea world, if you want to see all 3, you can get a package to see them. If your active service military, nature park and zoo are free. San diego is a great city, enjoy

Go to Coronado Island and see the Hotel Del Coronado... great place to see!

I agree with the above, also there are some tours around downtown so you might want to check into that. If you decide to go to TJ don't go alone and go in the daytime. If you just want to chill a bit you can go to Mission Beach to relax.
