RFE for Stepchild

Okay, I recieved an RFE for my stepchild due to the birth was registered One year or more after the birth. So my advice to anyone that has a stepchild is to review the NSO copy of the birth certificate before sending it with the petition. If this is the case then send any baptism records, school records, hospital, midwife, doctor anything that would establish the relatiionship between the mother and child. I hope this helps someone.

Too bad this isn't a pinned topic. It would have saved us from getting an RFE. Never thought to look to see if  they needed proof of relationship between my wife and her son.

Sadly, late registering for the birth certificate is more common that one would think.
