IO returned the Interview letter back to me at the AOS interview

Hi All,

I had my interview on 01/12/11, at the interview the IO gave back the interview letter to me which was submitted to the reception when I appeared for the interview. The interview went fine and the IO kept the I-94. Is this normal i.e. the IO returning the IL back to me at the end of the interview. Also i have had no updates online since the interview also, which is worrying Please comment. Thanks

I was also given my IL back after the interview and he also kept the 1-94. What did he say after the interview? did he ask for any other documents to be submitted? if not then you should be hearing some good news soon.

Well SisJ after the interview the IO mentioned that i'll be receiving my GC in the mail in 3 weeks max, I asked that long, for which he replied that probably 10 bussines days. He did not ask for any documents. I have been married for nearly 5yrs with my spouse and I have a 2 yr old kid. I am still legal. So no issues on that front.

Did you get any status updates online after AOS interview till the receipt of your GC, if you got any when did it happen i.e. after how many days after AOS interview?

Yes i did get a text message that afternoon about my case status being updated. i also got another one today saying card production but i received the card yesterday. Some ppl don't receive any updates so that's nothing to worry abt. You should receive your card in abt 7-10 days. Congratulations!

As is well-known around here, the website and emails are notoriously unreliable. My wife and I didn't get any notification until we received the written notice of approval in the mail three days after our interview. You really have nothing to worry about.

If an IO tells you that you are approved, that really means YOU ARE approved.
