I was a student and never filed for taxes. I am combining my parent's income with mine to meet the requirement. They have always filed a joint tax return..so do I have to list both of them or just the first one on the return?

If I do have to put both, on the I-864a, it asks for the total adjusted gross income. Do I list the total from the 1040 or their separate income on each I-864a? They are both self-employed.

Filed: Citizen (apr) Country: China

You provide an I-864 and need to attach a note why you have not filed a return to IRS.

On parent, "Head of household" provides an I-864 as a Joint sponsor, and other parent provides an I-864A to add their income to that of the joint sponsor.

So my dad (head of household) has to complete a separate I-864? His income can't just be added as that of a household member (I live with my parents and am listed as a dependent on their tax returns)?
