Hey Everyone,

I just got an update on my I-485. I got a case update in December stating my case was transferred to CSC and today I get a update stating USCIS. What does this mean? Will this delay my case? Or is the USCIS the same place

as CSC???

Confused???

Here is the what my email update stated.......

Your Case Status: Initial Review

The I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

Please help...

09-28-2010 AOS Packet Sent

10-11-2010 NOAs received (I-485,I-130,I-765)

10-13-2010 *touch*

12-09-2010 Case transferred to California Service Center

**No Biometrics letter recieved yet ( over two months waiting

12-16-2010 Biometrics done!! (NO walkin. Got an appointment letter

earlier in the week from Dallas bio office.

12-17-2010 Got email EAD being sent!

12-18-2010 Got AP in the mail!

12-22-2010 Got EAD in the mail

Confused? Somewhat. CSC is California Service Center which is part of USCIS. The original service center your petition was sent to was too busy to handle your case so it was transfered. Hopefully that will speed up the process for you.

Since your case is at CSC you might not have an interview for your AOS. Just sit back and wait to hear from them.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

The notice means it arrived at CSC (a USCIS office)and all is well. One office says "we're sending it" and the other office is confirming "we have it".
