My wife is a citizen of Kazakhstan with a I-551. We tried to visit her family in Georgia (country) in December but were not allowed to board the plane out of the US because of two transit stops in Germany. Because the flight had two stops in Germany she was required to have a Schengen tourist visa as it is considered a domestic flight. We have re booked the flights going US - London - Germany - Georgia.

Does anyone have recent experience with a similar scenario? I don't think she requires a transit visa but am nervous after the last try.

As I understand the UK and Germany do not require a transit visa for anyone having the I-551. Can anyone confirm?

Thanks

Jeff
