Early Biometrics?

I've seen some filers on this board mention "early biometrics" or mention going into the application support center well before their biometrics appointment date and getting their biometrics processed early. If any of you have done this, could you reply to my post wether you were successful and any other details (including which center)? Also, would this speed up your approval date as well?

It does not speed up approval, you have to have your biometrics letter to go do an early walk in.

We have our bio-letter with appointment date 2/4/11.

If your place is close by then try a walk-in if you want. If they say no it doesn't harm your application.

I tried in NE they said no come back on your date. So I did.

if it's not to far you can take a chance,go there in the mid week, some will let you take it, some won't, if you go be sure to bring your appointment letter, i.d passport, and or marriage certificate, good luck,

I believe that there's a thread in the Wiki listing which local offices will let you do walk-in biometrics. If the applicant is female and changed her surname then make sure you take your marriage certificate with you (I forgot the first time and had to go back, stupid me!). Indianapolis will let you do walk-in and the best time seemed to be after 2pm there. I don't think that they're a busy office though.
