Im trying to complete my AOS package and on the I -485 it says attach a copy of the approval notice, a copy of marriage certificate and the I-94. DO I submit the original I-94 that is stapled in my passport or just a copy??

You just need to send a copy. Original documents are not required unless USCIS requests you to do so. Hope this helps.

THanks I wasnt sure as it specified copies for the other two documents and didnt say one way or the other for that one but I noticed that if I end up having an interview for AOS I would need to bring my I-94 with me.

They need a copy of both sides of the I-94. I carefully removed the staple, copies both sides, and stapled it back in through the same holes. You couldn't even tell it had been removed.

I asked at PoE, because I knew I would need to copy it eventually - removing the I-94 from the passport, especially if you put it back, is fine. It doesn't destroy the integrity of the document or anything. They just staple it in there because it's a convenient place where it won't get lost.

There's an AOS thread in my signature that should help clear up your confusion.

Good luck!
