Hi Everyone!!!

My wife will be naturalized this year. One of the first things we want to do is petition her brother and sister to come here. What are the age limits for the brother (26) and the sister (16)? Or. are there any limits at all? My wife is over 21.

Thanks in advance. I just want to see what we're dealing with long before we do anything.

There is not a limit-- no age requirements for the brother/sister. Where is your wife's mom..? The 16 year old's mother? Do they have the same mother...?

The ages of your wife's brother and sister are irrelevant.

Read the instructions for Form I-130. Follow the guides provided by USCIS.

A US citizen must be at least 21 years old to petition for a sibling. It takes about 10 years for a visa to become available. The principal beneficiary getting marry does not affect the petition.

Yes all have the same mom. The wife's mom and dad live with the brother and the sister in Ecuador.

Ok why dont she petition for her mother which would take about 8-10 months then have the mother come here and petition for the brother/sister. Which would take about 3 years and thats with the current visa cut off dates. If the wife try to get them here you're looking at about 10 years.

that would be great for the sister who is 16. for the 26 year old unmarried brother, he's over 21, category 2B which is taking more than 8 years. the January and February bulletins for category 2B are April 15th, 2003
