I am a new member here but I have read thru the forums many times. I filed my petition in Feb and approved May 1. Recieved NOA2 and heard nothing for over 3 months. I called NVC amany times and they have no record. I faxed them a copy of the NOA2 and they sent a letter back tell me to call USCIS. I don't get home from work until around 4:30. I called USCIS on Aug. 17 around 5:00 and they put me on hold for over an hour. At 6:30 they disconnected my call and a recording tells me to call back the next day. So I call back at 4:30 and they do it again. I am on hold to 6:15 after closing and they disconnect again! Do they clear out all the calls after closing? I was afraid I would have to take a day off of work just to talk to someone. The next monday I call again and finally talk to someone and they ask me questions about the petition then give me a case number and tell me to give them 30 more days to look into it. Is this normal?

You have been waiting three months for them to send your petition to NVC? No, IMO, this does not make sense. You really need to get ahold of someone at USCIS, and fine out what the Heck is going on. Is there no time during the day that you may call, maybe on a lunch break or something. Perhaps you should send a letter to the director of the USCIS, informing him of your situation, I know this has worked for others waiting for their NOA2. It should not take 3 months for your petition to get from USCIS to NVC, you also need to contact your congressman, or senator and get them involved to find out where the heck your petition is? They can make a congressional inquiry and get more information than we can. Hope this helps.

Stacey, thanks for the reply,

I called USCIS and finally talked to a customer rep. He could only tell me that my petition was approved. He said I had only 3 choices. 1. contact the Director and that would take 6-7 more MONTHS for a reply, 2. fill out some form I824 (cost$200) and 4-5 MONTHS of more waiting or 3. contact congressman. I am making an appointment tomorrow to do that. It seems like they don't want to send it. This has been very stressful for me and my honey. I have been supporting her because she quit her job in hopes of getting her visa. Good jobs are hard to find in Jakarta and she is concerned about signing a contract spanning serveral months and not being able to get out when she finally gets her visa.
