First off, thank you so much each and everyone who contributed to this forum. It has helped having this as a little friend in need when in doubt or just when being curious about the adventure and experience others have had so far. It's appreciated that you all take the time and effort giving advice. :star: A star for each and everyone of you!

I found the end of the rainbow, i.e. my fiancee almost a year ago and we haven been talking and singing each other ears off ever since. When knowing that's the best alternative right now of communicating, we do that often.. Very often. I think my dogs recognize the skype ringtone better than me. He is from Indiana and I am located in Denmark and we're currently in the middle of the K1 soup! :) I have visited him quite a few times so far. Hopefully soon; to stay for good.

Best of luck to everyone getting closer to their loved ones.

K1 process, October 2010 > POE, July 2011

I-129F approved in 180 days from NOA1 date. (195 days from filing to NOA2 in hand)

Interview took 224 days from I-129F NOA1 date. (241 days from filing petition until visa in hand)

From filing I-129F petition until POE: 285 days

EAD/AP Approval took 51 days from NOA1 date to email update. (77 days from filing until EAD/AP in hand)

AOS Approval took 206 days from NOA1 date to email update. (231 days from filing until greencard in hand)

Welcome Luna, I hope you have a Blessed journey..

2005---We met by friend/Church member that was living in Nigeria

2006---We begin to talk about getting married

2007---I was going to met him face to face, but hurt my back couldn't walk..

2009---Was able to see each for the first time.. I got my engagement ring (WOW).. :wow:

2010-01-22 mailed I129f

2010-01-26 got NOA1

2010-05-12 called to see why no NOA2, I was told that our case is not being processed yet!!!!! No notes in the computer

other then the mailing of the NOA1!!!!!!! :angry:

2010-05-18 called SERVICE CENTER again to see what's going on with our case.. NOT BEING PROCESSED YET I WAS TOLD AGAIN!!!

2010-06-16 Got notice that NOA2 was approved 141 days after NOA1. We got our approval on Ossy's Birthday.. Happy birthday honey, I love you!!!!

2010-06-21 got NOA2 in hand

2010-06-22 called NVC to see if papers was there, but was told that my DOB was not right in the system. Just mailed a letter along with a copy of my birth certificate asking to change my DOB.. Way to go VCS..

2010-06-22 NVC received the case

2010-06-23 Case sent to Embassy in Barbados

2010-06-28 Embassy received our case

2010-08-09 Interview Administrative Review

2010-11-15 Approved for Visa (I was on the mission to make sure the INTERVIEWER that we had never interviewed anyone else and I did it).. Know that you have right and don't let the interviewer cross the line..

2010-12-10 Visa and Passport in hand!!! Thank God!!!

2010-12-19 Ossy will enter the States!!

Welcome to Visa Journey! As someone who's gone through K-1 with a Dane, you are more than welcome to ask as many questions as you want. You're very fortunate to have a very lax, efficient, friendly and easy consulate on your side. :) I also have packet 3 scanned if you ever need to take a sneak peek. Good luck and I hope your NOA2 comes soon!

Before Journey:

Met online in 2002 as friends. Fell in love in 2005. Got engaged in 2010.

K-1 Journey, January 2010-July 2010:

NOA1: January 29. RFE: April 21. NOA2: June 4. Interview: July 15. Visa in hand: July 20. POE: July 22.

July 24, 2010: Married in front of 150 of our loved ones on a beautiful, sunny day. Living happily ever after and oh so thankful that 5 years of a long distance relationship and 7 months of a visa process is condensed into one line.

Adjustment of Status Journey, January 2011-March 2011:

January 25: NOA1 for AOS and EAD. Feb 5: Bio appointment received. Feb 7: RFE. Feb 11: Sent RFE response. Feb 23: AOS transfered to CSC. Feb 25: Biometrics. March 11: EAD approved! March 19: Received EAD. March 21: AOS approved! March 25: GC in hand!

And we'll live happily ever after.. for the next 2 years, anyway.

Lohninck - aww thank you! Am thrilled to read you didn't come across any problems going through the first "level" other than an RFE on your DK->US journey. I (and my fiancee) might have some questions and will definitely be fond of the A's to the Q's or advise :)

Yeah, it was just a missed box on one of the forms on my part, apparently one of the more commonly missed questions, too. Just when I thought I had made sure I crossed all my t's and dotted all my i's.. ah well. All done now, right? :)

Before Journey:

Hehe! Am sure it's not uncommon to get rfes for those boxes. Nevertheless, it's certaintly worth the wait :)
