I was reading on these forums that after you are married the NVC expects you to travel and see your wife in a couple of months??

How is this possible?? The trip for me to Georgia with airfare and hotel for 11 days was 3k.. Then you have a job that just doesn't let you go on a trip anytime you feel like it...I was wondering if this is just what NVC would like to see happen or is it that someone posted this unrealistic expectation that they believe this is what the NVC wants..

Making a trip of this magnitude doesn't happen 3-4 times a year lol.

I agree with you darkdancer, traveling often is not just an option sometimes, it takes a lot of money, time off from work and all. Travel as much as you posibly can, I am sure they know some of us arent rich to be traveling to go see our loved ones so much.

I just read it somewhere but I have never seen it suggested or required by NVC or USCIS. The only requirement to meet was via the Fiancee visa..................

You just have 2 prove an ongoing relationship. If you can make another trip, that is all the better, but like you said...everyone doesn't have the extra money or time off. I lucked out being able 2 see my wife after about 5 months of marriage. I wouldn't have been able 2 do so normally but I deployed 4 a few months.

Who ask about on-going relationship.. I hope it's NVC because I didn't send any documentation to USCIS. If they asked I could have sent like 4k emails and skype that was on-going for 2 plus years.

fyi, the consular never asked me how often we visited each other even though my wife visited me twice after we got married in 8 months. hence, this is not a must but definitely a plus if you can show that.

The evidence for ongoing relationship is used at the interview.
