Blue Sheet Interview

Hi Everyone,

Have a very strange Situation. Me and husband lived together in Cayman Islands since Nov 2005 until Dec 2009. Then I moved to States and he accompanied me, but we had to get his IR1, and he had to back to work in Caymans. So he left and I started the processing around March 2009. After all the journey, sending papers, paying fees, etc. He got his interview date on Dec 8th 2010. His interview went well, we have been married since May 2006. All the questions were answered satisfactorily, but for his Affidavit of Support, I was the sponsor. They wouldn't accept that saying that last tax returns, which was for year 2009 was filed on earnings made abroad. Which was right, I lived with my husband, however, nowhere it was mentioned that this tax return wont be acceptable.

So he was given Blue Sheet Interview, asking for Affidavit of Support (I-864 or/and I864A) from someone or wait until I file my Tax Return for 2010. Have been away long enough, can't take any more separation, so requested my Mom and Dad to help with I-864, which they gladly have done. He has another Blue Sheet Interview scheduled on 28th February, 2011.

Just wondering, if Affidavit of Support documents submitted at interview has immediate decision, or requires more time for processing and verifying information on I-864 forms and tax returns.

Has any of you been through this process of submitting I-864 at time of interview ??? Please share if you have any idea what happens ???

Thanks
