RFE after LONG WAIT!!

It's sooo stressful! While you wait for the details, maybe read through the RFE Master List in this section of the forums so you can see what kinds of things people have gotten RFEs for and how they've dealt with them. You might be surprised at how little it takes, or what kinds of "additional evidence" other folks submitted to get to their NOA2s.

At the very least, it'll make some time go by and you'll come out more prepared!

What you CAN do is thoroughly look over one of the multiple copies of your entire submittal that you made and find the missing part on your own.

You did make those copies, right?

As of Dec 7, 2009, now Zero miles apart (literally)!

It would be interesting to know exactly what evidence they were requesting. Maybe that would help others here and maybe even get some informative feedback that could help you. Good Luck in getting the process cleared up.

Thank you again for your concerns. I'm still waiting for that letter RFE that was sent out on the 12th. Hopefully, I will get the RFE in my mailbox today. I did make copies and probably should look over them but I'll just wait for the letter otherwise i'm going to get more irritated and nervous with this whole thing. Thanks again for all your help out there.

I feel for you.......... We waited over six months and finally after a service request and inquiry from the Senator, got a 3-page RFE. We are waiting for 2-4 months for a decision. We also filed through CA, although we filed the CR1 rather than K1. I hope yours is something simple. I know the waiting is tough, I got the same thing, a text and email that there was an update, went to the site and saw that I had an RFE but had no idea what it was until it actually came in the mail. Best of luck to you.

Thank you. You did wait longer than me.. I hope i don't need resort in contacting a senator. Thanks Lisa.

Considering that I have gotten ZERO from the Vermont Disservice Center, not even a touch, I would be happy with an RFE. At least that way I would have my NOA2 within 60 days. Right now, all I have is more drifting through the haze of USCIS La La Land.

I feel for you. You may have to wait more to the 5 month mark. I pray you be patient and blessings to you.

I looked over the RFE MASTER LIST post and i think i'll probably get an RFE in regards to my G325A for employment dates overlapping each other because I've worked 2 jobs for over 3 years now. It's weird though because they are checking my background so they should see that i've worked 2 jobs for a while and that overlap shouldn't be of concern. I'll just have to wait and see for that RFE letter that I'm still waiting on. If this is the concern then I'll have to attach an explaination? Well, i just have to wait for that RFE...

I sincerely doubt that is the reason. If jobs overlap, they overlap, there is no problem with having more than one job at a time. You should not have GAPS in the G-325a, overlaps are OK.

Wait for the RFE

FYI, the background check has nothing to do with your employment. It is an automated criminal background check which is usually completed within a few seconds unless your name generates a "hit" and then it is checked into manually. Manual checks can take a few minutes or a few months. At any rate, there is no investigation of your work history with the possible exception of security clearence work...but they aren't saying about that.

Thank you. I will wait for my RFE.. Hopefully, it will come today, and it's in regards to something minor with an easy fix like a signature.
