They know at the AOS interview you have not had enough time to develope things like joint accounts etc.. This will not be a problem. You will have 2 years after AOS to develop this for removal of conditions

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

I disagree. You two can open a joint account with little money in it. And while I can understand about past transgressions, this should not force you yo alter your future life.

I never had a joint account with my wife, as we had quite a few bank accounts already. I suggest to do what I did:

You and your spouse give each other full access to all the accounts. You can do this tomorrow or Friday. Thereafter get a letter from the bank manager reading like this:

To whom it may concern

This is to certify that Mr. and Mrs. x have full and unrestricted access to the following bank accounts:

1 Checking account # 123456789

2 Checking account # 234567890

3 Savings account # 345678901

4 Money Market account # 456789012

Mine actually had the balances after each account number, but that wouldn't even be necessary. You also don't have to tell the bank manager for what you need it. All you tell 'em is that you need a formal letter to this effect. Should be no problem. This letter shows that you intermingled finances as far as banking goes, and that is what they want to see.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.
