The parties have evolved and changed over the years. Nixon was actually more liberal in many ways than the current democratic administration! Does anyone seriously believe that civil rights progress will be made by the current republican party if it regains the senate and white house?

Most of what we have now has nothing to do with "civil rights". The people who supported slavery are still in the Democrat party. They now support illegal immigration and people being enslaved by welfare. If you disagree with them they say YOU are the racist.

They ignore employers that violate wage and hour protections, withholding tax, social security, medicare, OSHA, EEOC and hire illegals to be exploited so they can line their pockets with cash. Democrats pass laws to "protect workers" provided the workers are union white workers, and then look the other way as millions of employers avoid all the human rights laws and equal opportunity laws by hiring unregulated illegals. They then try to make it harder to enforce the law against exploiting humans for money.

Welfare programs simply enslave people to be dependent on politicians for more of the same and we see generation after generation of people who are loyal Democrat voters because without handouts they have no ability to fend for themselves. Is that the American dream? Is that freedom?

Oh, I'm sorry. That was back in July. He was annoyed about the tax on tanning beds.

Amends the Civil Rights Act of 1964

to declare that an unlawful employment practice occurs when: (1) a discriminatory compensation decision or other practice is adopted; (2) an individual becomes subject to the decision or practice; or (3) an individual is affected by application of the decision or practice, including each time wages, benefits, or other compensation is paid. Allows liability to accrue, and allows an aggrieved person to obtain relief, including recovery of back pay, for up to two years preceding the filing of the charge, where the unlawful employment practices that have occurred during the charge filing period are similar or related to practices that occurred outside the time for filing a charge.
