Hi everyone,

In the next week my wife going to send I-864 with co-sponsors I-864, but I was wondering if we will need the tax returns for 2010 or 07, 08, 09 will be fine?

It says most recent tax returns so if you haven't completed your last years return then use the latest 3 returns. I haven't yet completed my taxes for 2010 because I don't have all my w-2 forms to file yet. Remember, each tax return is for the former year...like your tax return of 2009 was sent by april 2010 and your 2010 tax return is not due until this coming april 2011.

It says most recent tax returns so if you haven't completed your last years return then use the latest 3 returns. I haven't yet completed my taxes for 2010 because I don't have all my w-2 forms to file yet. Remember, each tax return is for the former year...like your tax return of 2009 was sent by april 2010 and your 2010 tax return is not due until this coming april 2011.

We went through NVC in February of 2009 and had the same issue. We sent in 2005, 2006 and 2007 tax transcripts and had our case completed no problem. Then when we interviewed in May we took our 2008 tax return to the interview, which they definitely wanted to see!
