Has NVC address changed?

Hello fellow VJ members,

I have a couple of simple questions that I would like to have confirmed from some of the members here. I started my I-130 petition for my wife in Dec 2007. Before receiving the NOA2 from the USCIS, I moved to the Philippines to be with my expecting wife...still here, by the way. I purposefully delayed the NVC process for particular reasons and have now decided to finish up the process.

My questions are rather straight forward:

What is the NVC address the AOS should be sent to?

Can it be sent via fed ex?

What is the NVC address the DS-230 should be sent to?

Can it be sent via fed ex?

I ask these questions because it appears as if the NVC address (at least the address they want things to be sent to) has changed since my petition was forwarded to the NVC in 2008.

The old NVC barcode sheet that the NVC sent me in 2008 says send to :

32 Rochester Avenue

Portsmouth, NH 03801-2909

The new address that is listed on the DS-230 bar code sheet (which I obtained online after making the online payment) says send to:

31 Rochester Avenue Suite 100

Portsmouth, NH 03801-2914

The street number and zip are different. I'm not sure if they have different address for different forms (i.e. send AOS to a particular address and send DS-230 to a different address) or if the address for all forms has simply changed. I have my AOS, my joint sponsor's AOS and my wifes DS-230 application ready to be sent to the NVC. I'm wanting the agent of choice to send all three forms in one package to the NVC but it appears that there are different addresses.

Has the NVC changed their address in recent years or is there, indeed, 2 different address for each particular form. Can anyone who has recently sent their AOS and DS-230 froms clear up this address problem for me.

Thanks in advance,

James

I would first call NVC and check status, from what I understand they may hold a case for a year, and if no response they may close it.

Thanks for your advice. I understand from the warnings on previous correspondence from the NVC that if they do not hear from me within a year, they case will be purged. I actually made a costly mistake concerning this. I did let a year lapse without contacting the NVC. Since I have been in the Philippines since 2008 and because I thought the case had been purged, I flew to the U.S. Embassy in Manila to restart the petition process through DCF. When I got to window 35(Dept. of Homeland Security) the very friendly woman told me that the case might still be active. After she returned from checking the case status, she informed me that the case had NOT been purged. I was very happy...but very sad that I had spent money on the airfare. :( I was acting on the assumption that the NVC would follow through with its warning to purge. So I flew back home and contacted the NVC. After contacting by phone, I had the Immigrant Application Bill sent to me via email. I paid and the case has resumed were it left off. But it appears that there have been some minor changes since 2008...addresses being one of those changes. Again, thanks for the advice.

Hi James,

i would send them to:

NATIONAL VISA CENTER

ATTN: CMR

31 ROCHESTER AVE #100

PORTSMOUTH, NH, 03801-2914

and yes there is no problem using Fedex

Johnny5,

Thanks for the address confirmation. That's the address that is on the latest barcode sheet. The agent of choice that we selected has also made the call to NVC from the U.S. and has reported the same. Thanks for your help and time.

James
