I am mad as hell with the NVC. My first DS230 packet arrived at the NVC on 12/15/2010 based on USPS tracking signature. On 12/23/2010, I received an email that they are waiting on the DS230 packet to complete the processing. I called them several times and they assurd me that if it arrived based on tracking performed by the USPS, that it was there and that they receive a lot of mail. I did not feel comfortable with that statement so I had my wife send my the required DS230 docmentation and certificates from her country via Fedex. I mailed the new DS230 packet Saturday and it arrived at the NVC yesterday because they entered in ito the system Tuesday (today).

I am glad that I had my wife get two original documents of everything in the event something like this occurred. It was just a matter of her sending it to me which took a week via FEDEX and then me submitting it again to the NVC.

I highly recommend when getting certified birth certificates, marriage certificate, Police certificate, etc. that you have your spouse obtain at least two of each. That did save us a lot of time having two of everything already.

The NVC cost us at least 3 weeks longer of being a part. It could have been much longer if I had trusted their word that they have it some where in their system.

Word to the wise, have multiple certified documents already available and if it does not get put into the system and show up under your NVC number within 3 days from when it arrived at the NVC, then assume that they lost it.

oh my god. This is horrible. I am in the same position as you. USPS tracking says that our DS230 packet arrived on December 23rd to the NVC office BUT when I call they say there is no record of it being found yet and that to give it another couple days. I really hope it's not lost in the shuffle of the holiday season. Congratulations on having your stuff entered. I will have to wait until next week when I am in the Dominican Republic to get additional original documents...I hope the NVC finds our packet before then! Grrrrrrrrr!!!!! :angry:

10/19/10----RFE FOR ORIGINAL MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE IN URDU LANGUAGE ""SHOULD HAVE KNOWN"

11/06/10----RFE SENT AVR NOT UPDATED AS OF 11/09 WAITING FOR CASE COMPLETE

11/15/10----AVR SAYS RFE RECIVED... JUST WAITIN FOR CASE COMPLETE

11/17/10----CASE COMPLETE

08/30/11----INTERVIEW AT 8.00AM VISA WAS APPROVED 8/30/11 THANKYOU GOD AND EID MUBARAK

00/00/11----LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER[/color]
