Here recently I filed my AOS. Additionally, I applied the (1) form “G-1145- E-Notification of Application/Petition Acceptance,” in order to get updates. Just yesterday I received (6) text notifications! In reality they sent (3) different “MSC” numbers that were duplicated. None of the text messages clarified as to which form it may be referring. When I attempted to check “My Case Status,” none of the numbers displayed information. While reading the instructions on the USCIS web site it states that only cases starting with (EAC, WAC, LIN, or SRC) could be checked. So, here’s my questions: Where do I go to check my “MSC” AOS status? Do they issue a “MSC” number for every form such as the I-485, I- 864, and the G-325A? Or was this a processing error that I received (3) “MSC” numbers? Also, they have not chased my check as of yet. Please help!!! Thanks!

Yes MSC is the National Benefits Center located in Missouri (AKA Missouri Service Center) This is where all I-485/I-765/I-131 go to from the Chicago Lock-Box.

Lately there have been a lot of reports that the online system has been very slow to get new cases, and status is unreliable.

Thanks Daniel for your very fast reply. So, is it normal to get (multiple Numbers) a “MSC” number for all major forms applied for and not just one number for the entire AOS packet? Additionally, is it abnormal for them not to have cashed my check even though they received the AOS? And, what link do you access for the “MSC” case status? Thanks again!

The I-485, I-765 and I-131 are technically three different benefits you are applying for. They are concurrently filed, but are not the same case. This means that they can be adjudicated separately, even if they choose to do biometrics for both the I-485 and I-765 together to save time.
