i came to the US 2009 nov. 11th, with K-1 visa.

so we got married and got the marriage certificate at the end of nov.

the papers(I485) were transferred to california on march 29th or somthing, and i've been still waiting for my temporary green card.

i got the work permit and travel permit last june, but it will be expired this june.

i called the service center and they filed e-request for me, but basically it was just to keep me waiting.

(first e-request reply says; "we will contact you in 30 days" and then no answer. so i file another e-request and it says; "we will contact you in 60 days" and then no answer of course. so i file for another one and get the answer as "120 days". is this some kind of joke? am i getting punked?)

has anyone been waiting this long?

now i'm 6 months pregnant and this gives me a headache.

that 120th day they were saying is almost my due date.

what would be the possible situation i'm in?

and is there any advice for me?

Hi there,as you see in my timeline I had to wait 6 more months after the AOS interview to get my Green Card because my fingerprints were taken only for I-765 but not for I-485 as well. Also, after the interview I moved to a different state and they had to transfer my file there to be adjudicated. These 2 factors kept my application in limbo for a long time.

Here is what I did: I scheduled 2 infopasses and I contacted a senator in my area.

So I believe you need to schedule an infopass appointment at your local office ASAP as obviously whatever you tried to do didn't work. If you can;t get any help from your local USCIS office, or if you are not happy with the way they assist you, then you may contact a senator.

Have you had your AOS interview yet?

Hello,

My timeline is around the same time as yours. My fiance came to US on K-1 visa in Feburary 2010. We got married in March and we applied for the temp gren card. On April 20th our case was transfered to the california Service Center. He got his finger printing done in first week of may and then we started waiting. We did not hear back till October. We called the toll free number and everytime they said its being processed. WE wrote to the California department and they wrote back we will hear from them in 45 days. WE have not heard from then since. Oh and we also scheduled an appointment with the local service center and they put an inquiry for us. That also resulted in a response that said we are working on your application and you will hear back from us soon.

I am so worried. I don't know what to do either, to the case to process faster.

Contact the Senator in the state where you live. They will probably ask you to sign a privacy release so that they have permission to speak to the USCIS on your behalf. They'll usually send this via email if you ask for it. Sign it, scan it, and send it back (or fax it back, whichever is easier for you). Write out a detailed letter explaining exactly what's going on. Include a copy of your NOA1 and biometrics letter to show how long you've been waiting, as well as a copy of your K1 visa. Documentation helps.

Once a Senator gets involved they seem to speed things up a bit.

Good luck!

Hello Guys,

My wife filed for adjustment of status on March of 2010, case was transfered to CSC, no interview has been scheduled yet? our Senator contacted them, and they responded that our case is pending for background check? We are still waiting to hear on our case.

thanks, guys.

i just sent a message to the senator through the web site.

i will see what happens :)

You'd do better to call the senator and ask for the Immigration Liaison. It's easier to avoid a fax than a person in your ear. This way you know they've got your information and can email you the privacy release.

Good luck!
