Hi,

If someone is flying to a different state while in pending AOS beyond the I94 expiry date, what does he/she have to carry to proof his/her status?

Passport, EAD (if in hands), proof of AOS (NOA1?, Biometric Appmt letter?)?

Thanks

All are good to have with you... they typically do NOT check your immigration status when flying domestically anyway

YMMV

yes I agree. I read on other posts that it is wise to have the most up to date immigration document (if it's an NOA1 then bring that, if it's an appointment letter bring that instead) or you can bring all of it. But as stated, it is unlikely you'll encounter any problem.

I'm living in California and I traveled to adjacent states (Arizona, Nevada) and no one asked me my immigration status.

Good luck on your journey

There is one case where you MUST travel with your NOA1 or other latest notices and that is in the border areas. If you travel within 100 miles of the border then you run the risk of running into a Border Patrol Checkpoint. They can and do cause problems.......as some posts on here can attest to.

mrjack,

Although your comments are appreciated, this thread is well over 2 years old. The reality of the circumstance may have changed, so we suggest not responding to archived threads.
