No one is justifying anything. If you understood anything about the above, you would know exactly what I'm talking about. Instead your feeble little mind can't wrap yourself around the idea that a people/group of people might not like the situation they are living in and would fight for it. This kid may have been out there, but what he's being attacked for is a sentiment thousands of people hold...

If you know/have read anything I have posted in the last year on immigration, I chastise illegal immigrants for not fighting for a better life at home. Millions of them flooding here, when that's much more than a small army to overthrow their government for a better life. To build something to call 'theirs.' Instead they'd rather take the lazy/easy way out and come here because we ultimately let them.

People are generally peaceful, but everyone has a breaking point. Some have one that is MUCH smaller than others before they'll flip. You can say you're not a violent person, you can say you'd never harm a fly, but everyone has a point in which a switch would flip and they'd do everything within their power to defend either their own life, their way of life, or the way of/actual life of one or many close to them.

Paul, you are promoting political assassination as a viable tactic for ensuring political change. Exactly how are you NOT endorsing terrorism?

Don't forget you already indicated that 9/11 was somehow deserved and that the victims deserved to die as punishment for complicity with government foreign policy. Once again, how are you not endorsing terrorism?

You see Paul, i get why you're saying. It's just not as profound as you want people to believe. The one thing you are certainly not being is honest.

If the government, led by a few key individuals, started committing genocide within the borders of the US (and succeeding, which means the normal democratic routes were not working) then most people would accept that political assassination would indeed be an acceptable action. (For those who don't get it: most people would be quite happy to shoot Hitler.)

Some people have a lower breaking point, higher ideals, whatever it is. And so would think this was ok even if genocide wasn't what the government was engaging in.

Some people become so emotionally enraged and/or deluded that they do this when it really is not appropriate.

Such a shooting could not be compared to assassination of Hitler, except for maybe in the mind of the shooter. And in this sense the connection is very real.

Having said that, this particular shooting sounded more like an enraged violent act than assassination. That little girl could quite possibly have grown up to become a conservative President. Even if you were targeting Hitler, you could be more careful.
