Hi everyone

I have an oath ceremony (naturalization) tomorrow in Memphis in the Museum of Civil Rights. Memphis is covered with snow and ice and the museum was closed today.

I am not sure if they will open tomorrow or not and how it will affect the ceremony. I dont know how inclement weather affects US immigration services.

How can I find out? I called general customer service (toll free number) and woman wasn't helpful.Should I still drive there? Its 3 hour drive for me and I would have to drive and be turned back.

Thanks

How did you make out with this? Seems like there is not any reliable way to get information about cancellations. We might be facing similar circumstances this week in Boston

Does God have anything to do with this? We must be lucky, because we never missed an appointment, even with my stepdaughter, one clear day when we had to drive down to Milwaukee for her biometrics. Then praying the weather will be good February 11, for her interview, they could give her certificate at that time if they weren't so darn stubborn. One time it took us 9 hours to drive back from St. Paul, a blizzard hit, could barely see 20 feet ahead. But was clear driving in.

What they could do is to send everyone either an automated phone message or an e-mail, but they don't, still rely on the pony express for communication, what a crazy outfit!
