My husband's AOS was transferred to CSC on December 27th. On Dec 29th we contacted our Senator about all of the mistakes we've encountered with the USCIS since he got here, and asked if they could help expedite his EAD. Both the EAD and AP were approved the next day, and we received them on Saturday. The same day that the EAD was approved his AOS was transferred here to "a USCIS office" for processing. I'm assuming that means the local (Oklahoma City) office.

Since the 30th we have had 4 touches. Is it possible that the AOS has been expedited as well and that it could be processed here locally and approved without an interview? Or do you think this means an interview is being scheduled? I'm really anxious for this part of the process to be over so we can breathe for another year before having to worry about his ROC.

Thanks!

Local Approvals are generally given at interviews. CSC approvals are without interviews. When a petition is kicked back from CSC to a local it means there is an interview coming.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Agree with Inky BUT I have a qn.

Usually when the file is transferred to CSC you get TWO letters. Once says "this file was transferred to our California Service Centre for processing" the next one comes about a week later and says something like "file received at local office". The first is notice of transfer, the second is letting you know that the file was received successfully (this has confused many many people).

Usually when the file is transferred for an interview the letter will say "file has been transferred to our [insert name of your local office here]" for example "This file has been transferred to our Des Moines office" (if it was me :D). Unless the "local office" letter says that, then I doubt it's the letter you need to worry about for an interview.

Hope that helps :D

The problem is, we haven't received any letters. I am going off of the online status updates. The first one told me that it had been transferred to the CSC (12/27) and then on 1/3 I was updated that on 12/30 it had been transferred and was now being processed at "a USCIS service center" but doesn't explain which one. We received his EAD and AP on Saturday, but haven't received anything in writing regarding the AOS since the NOA1. I'm hoping for a letter at some point just to explain what's going on. At the moment we aren't even sure where our case is.

Ahh then yes. Those are the emails telling you the file was sent to CSC, and second that it was received there. I wouldn't be expecting an interview until you get one that specifically mentions your local office.
