I still think the US is on a socially friendly trajectory and had been since 1860 and the reactionaries are well beaten

Half of the US deserves all of the criticism in the world and the other half should be applauded. The one that cares about who gets shot and who dies in pain and poverty is the side that I am on - and if the other lot want to call me a cockroach for that, well they just show themselves up for their barren intellect and inherent selfishness by doing so

I have an excellent memory - I can remember things that were said here 7 years ago, let alone last year.

Many wealthy people have been liberal and they are more believable because it doesn't help them personally

I have spent much effort trying to raise people out of poverty and ignorance - mostly I have failed and that causes me some despair.

Nevertheless I am prepared to put myself out for a safer society both in terms of gun control and pensions and health care

The internet seems full of the most appalling people but its only weeks since there was a majority of Representatives and Senate and the President who were left wing - so I know America isn't full of bad people and the caring ones are the majority and I am part of that majority and my stalkers in the night (The Richard Nixon types) are in the minority
