You have not even attempted to explain how freedom is better in the US than, for example in the UK, thanks to the second amendment.

It's a little bit better (for example, racist/hate speech is legal here) but as you well know,

countries do not become totalitarian overnight. They do so over time, starting with small

infringements on our liberty, with people such as yourself pushing seemingly innocuous

ideas, telling themselves that they will never allow it to escalate beyond control, until

they become a part of the way the country is governed. It's a check on tyranny -

hopefully we will never have to face it, but chance favors the prepared mind.

The 2nd amendment is not meant to fight WW3.

It has been very well explained in Heller and McDonald. Both are available in English on the internet. Google "Heller" and "McDonald" Enjoy the read.

Somehow people can find the "right" to an abortion in the constitution. It is right there in Roe v. Wade if you care to read it. But they can't figure out the 2nd amendment and what it means.

If I was American (oops I am), I would be scared stiff for the future. This stupid health care system is going to make many of their families bankrupt or dying in unrelieved pain and they still think it's great coz they have been told so.

Every time the govt changes they think they are the only ones in the world that has a peaceful transfer of power after an election and they brag about it - hilarious

There are plenty of super intelligent and sensible people in the US. The Sheriff in Arizona for instance - I would adopt him as my dad - I think he is great - but jeez there are so many brainwashed myth believers and they all have the same mantra - like peas in a pod. Saves thinking if you are handed box of ideas and told to absorb them or you wont go to heaven.

Yes granddad was killed - his gun was no use to him or his widow or 5 small children. The government was RIGHT WING and didn't like hangers-on and so they almost starved and she took in dirty washing from the village and worked 24/7 with her 5 kids. I liked the Arizona Sheriff and I wrote him a letter today saying what a fine man he is. Imagine me thinking that about a tough Western Sheriff with a Polish name - but I do I think he is the epitome of common sense and level headedness. I even put a first class stamp on it and that is the ultimate accolade from a Yorkshireman.

English is her primary langauge. That is enough to discourage me.
