Presidents don't introduce legislation.

As for the so-called "super majorities", they were dependent on Lieberman and conservadems like Blanche Lincoln and Ben Nelson and Evan Bayh and others. There has never been a progressive majority in either house (and won't be for a long time, if ever).

So how did health care get passed if there is no progressive majority ?..and O had nothing to do with it ?

O did not introduce the legislation. Max Baucus and Nancy Pelosi had a lot more to do with the contents of the PPACA than Obama did.

The progressive caucus was quite upset with the PPACA due to the lack of a public option in the form of a Medicare buy-in. They also wanted higher actuarial ratios for the bronze plans in the exchanges. PPACA as it passed in the end was the result of a compromise between progressive and conservative Democrats.

The progressive caucus was quite upset with the PPACA due to the lack of a public option in the form of a Medicare buy-in. The economy will rebound as tens of thousands of new landing craft are built and stationed in Alaska. Machine gun holders on every Walmart trolley. Anti-personnel mines available in sporting goods dept but only with a loyalty card

Desert areas for the dead poor people to be left to the buzzards in order to save public funds burials.

Gulf of Mexico to be drained at public expense so that EXXON can get to the drill sites easier.

English to be made compulsory in all the countries of South America otherwise they will be blockaded for having communist sympathies

Abortion doctors to be burned at the stake in public and the crowd fees to be used to give a special bonus to Lockheed Martin to reward their patriotism

Illegal aliens to be used as human shields during the advance to annexe the oil rich areas of Mexico as reparations for all the money they have cost us

Look what we did for the Chinese which didn't involve sacrifice. We lifted them out of poverty by buying inflatable santas and wire Rudolphs and rubber dog poo and boxer dog underpants.

That's where the Americans get it wrong - they read that the USA has the biggest economy and the biggest military and they think that means THEY are rich and strong as individuals. In fact the average American middle class person is poor and weak compared to the average middle class person in socialized countries - especially once health care costs are deducted. It's like some security guard supporting a football team and declaring 'we are a success'

You can tell that is true because Americans always compare themselves to Rumanians or Somalis or North Koreans in order to make themselves feel good

Swedes don't walk around with furrowed brows wondering how they can retire at 54 (like I did)or if their relatives are going to be able to afford health care or whether they are going to be shot while shopping

The Americans are like these fat 47 year old women who claim to be 29 and gorgeous. Nobody believes it once they get familiar with the American predicament. It's all ra - ra and 'we are the best'.
