Please pray for the families of those killed, and for the workers at the scene.

I had to go by there this morning on the way to Blue Grass Parkway...didn't know what was going on, hadn't seen the tv or had the radio on...but it was a mess...

About the Crash in Kentucky:

Another man described what he saw from his back door.

"Over the hillside, I saw a flash of light and then an explosion, and then just a big plume of smoke come up," he said.

Accident? Hopefully!

FAA spokeswoman Laura Brown said the agency had no indication that terrorism was involved in any way. Both flight recorders, which should help investigators determine what went wrong were found, Ginn said.

Tragic accident in this case..........

:( Last I heard on the local station, it is a possibility the pilot took the wrong runway and did not have enough room for take off. So sad there was a couple who only just married last night, he was a former U of K baseball player.

I was at the airport this morning when I heard about this -- getting ready to get on my flight --- which of course is the same airline & jet that crashed..... I'm safe and sound at my destination... but very scary.

God Bless all the families

Comair is a Delta Connection carrier. They are VERY safe and that aircraft is also very safe. I chose them every time I can, and I will continue to do so. This was pilot error, as they chose the wrong runway. I attempted to take off on the CRJ on that particular runway in my simulator and the aircraft did not make it.

that is the most likely cause of the crash.. Wrong runway. But lets not jump to conclusions..the media makes stuff up or they think they are experts. Let the NTSB do the invesagation and let them listen to the Flight Data Recorder and Black Box. It could of been ATC error also cause they could of directed them to that run way or if not then they should of maybe reconize they were going to the wrong runway..

Just my opinon. I dont want to start a war but in a aircraft crash, they are many factors and most of the therioies of a crash that was reported by the media are mostly wrong.

A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.

Yes the pilots took off on the wrong runway. However, the runway layout at Bluegrass sucks, and they had recently changed the taxi configuration. This confused the pilots and caused them to turn onto the wrong runway. The two runways form a "v" and the pilots took the wrong fork in the road. Further, the runway lights were not working that morning, and when on runway 26 (the short one) you cannot see the other end of the runway because there is a "hump" in the middle.

In aircraft accidents there is never one cause. It is a series of events and situations that add up in the right order to cause disaster.

God Bless those involved.

There are far too many questions regarding this crash. Like how did two pilots not notice that they were on the wrong runway? The lights for Rwy 26 were not on, and did the compass not show them that they were on a heading of 260? Why did ATC clear them for Rwy 22 before they even got there? Why did they not try to stop them? Were they not looking out for the aircraft? The tower was shown to be active at the time. Visibility was not a factor for tower control. Can't speculate here as there are too many unanswered questions. Too many that led to too many people dying.

Those would be the million dollar questions. I will say this: often when I am taking off out of an airport the compass isn't giving me a 'true' reading due to magnetic variation, and again at that airport, you CANNOT see the other end of the runway because of a hump in the middle. Visibility sucked, its early, the runway layout is something out of a high school science fair, they threw up a barrier and changed the taxi plan, the lights on the runway aren't working, and the ATC tower is asleep at the wheel.

My big thing is the control tower. How many planes was the guy working at 6am? Its not like its O'hare.

Perhaps if that airport had ground control they would have known that they weren't at the right runway. However tower should have been able to see. They are very close to both runways, near the end of rwy 26.

It's a team effort. The tower should have noticed too.
