Driving on the left

Okay, I know everybody says we (USC's) drive on the wrong side of the road.

Other than the steering wheel being on the right side of the vehicle, is anything else different?

Are the brake and gas pedals still brake on the left and gas on the right (as in America) or is that reversed too?

All the pedals are in the same order (going from right to left its ABC - Accelerator, Brake, Clutch).... if it's a shiftstick then that's on your right side.

They are the same in our truck as they were on my car in the UK....turn signal on the left of the wheel. I think it varies by make of car.

It was different when I drove in Thailand. I kept turning on the wipers when I wanted to change lanes.

So what you all are saying then is the floor pedals are in the same order, no matter which side the steering wheel is on?

everthing is the same, just on the other side of the car. If you are right handed it feels a little bit weird if not saying difficult trying to shift gear with your left hand, so the gear is in the same place in the center of the car. I've drove in India once, when there's traffic it's fine i can just follow the flow of traffic. The problem comes when i am all alone trying to figure which way the go.

The road are design differently then here

let say you want to make a left turn coming from the north and want to turn left on the east bound lane. here you would basicall cross the traffic heading west and turn Left but

Over there you would just make a left, west bound traffic would be on the other side of the road,

Yes, is the answer to your question! Everything is on the other side of the car, but you still hit the brake and accelerator with your right foot and the clutch with your left! If you drive a stick-shift, the gears are in the same place, with one being in the top lefthand corner, 2 below it etc.

Wipers and things depend on the make of the car - the Japanese cars often have them on the "wrong" side compared to others.

Yes, if you are driving an automatic like the majority of the cars here in the US, the floor pedals are exactly the same as back home; brake on the left and gas on the right.

This is ore about driving differences...Turns here are more curved than back home, where you have to turn at more of a right angle. Turning more curved like in Ireland during a driving test leads to a fail! Are you off on a trip Rebecca?? Me wonders??
