The kid was spouting Beck stuff like gold and the government etc etc

He didnt mention Beck's unhybridized seeds (yet) - which are buried at the South Pole to feed conservatives after the marxist take over. I heard Beck selling this stuff on the radio. I tuned in last week for a laugh but it isn't funny really

I think the difference is that the crazy right (not the right) is selling that the country is in mortal danger from all sorts of threats. That has to have every patriot worried and anxious and ready to physically confront anyone who represents that. The left are not raising those fears.

I personally know rightist who are physically affected with worry and are buying gold (and no doubt Beck's seeds) and fear anyone who doesnt look like an aryan.

I hear the conversations in the gun shops and see the political posters hanging up in there. The legitimate rightists are scared stiff for their country so how are they expected to react except with fear ?

It's the manipulators like Beck, Limabaugh,Palin, Bachmann etc who are cynically frighening legitimate right wing people, a tiny percentage of whom (that is still a lot) are already over the edge because of mental illness.

The ill people are ill already and the provokers are not making them ill - but they are throwing fuel on the fire

Gun ownership must be conditional on the suitability of people to own weapons and that includes more factors than mental illness. If someone is frequently violent and doing meth but has no criminal convictions or record of treatment, they should not be able to own weapons as they can at the moment

See, the only problem with all that is...... you seem to be chasing a ghost, where is your list of people who watch Beck or the others who have gone -over the edge?

And as for panicking people into doing extreme things, this week all we have heard from Obama team (and others) is the abolute devastation which would take place if GOPers don't vote to raise the debt ceiling.
