Mistakes? You mean like claiming US politicians should expect to get shot if they happen to have points of view which aggrieve someone? And that if politicians don't do what you want they should pay their own way to be protected from righteous assassination attempts? That kind of "Liberal" philosophy?

I said there's job associated risks in being a politician.

We pay you for six-figure salary, so you can decide to pay your own security force or not. I mean after all, with that plus the per diem pay they get, I'm sure they can afford it. While the US taxpayer don't need millions of dollars more burden so each and every rep can have personal security.

My comment here only refers to blaming Palin for the actions of the punk here....

Aren't you the same guy who complains about heavy handed Homeland Security and the money spent by them?

Do you really want your congressman to cut back on trips back to your district to pay for bodyguards in the rare event there's another shooting at a member of congress?

Pretty amazing how a large segment of the Internet and media focused on single individual and saw Palin on the grassy knoll at the Safeway strip mall with hours of the shooting. She knows how to use a rifle with a scope so she's probably behind it all.

Pretty amazing how a large segment of the Internet and media focused on single individual and saw Palin on the grassy knoll at the Safeway strip mall with hours of the shooting. She knows how to use a rifle with a scope so she's probably behind it all.

I don't think anyone one can take seriously is blaming Palin. What is being suggested is that the political climate and political debate is unnecessarily toxic. I think there is a fair point being made there. Democrats and Republicans should be able to work together to solve real problems that affect real people without calling each other all kinds of stupid names and without all the empty inflammatory rhetoric of attack ads and the like. It's senseless and unnecessarily abrasive. No one should have to work in that kind of an atmosphere day in day out. I don't think it started out intentionally as a means to create such deep divisions, but I think in some cases that's the end result. Personally, I don't think Palin is very significant, she's given undue significance by the media for all the wrong reasons.
