Hallo an alle,

Gruss Stephanie

you do have to prove your relationship... so, use pics of you together from before he left, cards, bills that might be in both your names, etc... but also gather proof of your relationship continuing after he returned to the states... so phone bills, cards, letters, etc...

i am the USC, so i cant tell you personally what happens during the interview at the consulate/embassy... but maybe you could find someone who has been thru that consulate/embassy who could help you...

good luck with your visa journey :)

Hallo Samunda,

and now in english...

Hello Samunda,

you found a forum in english language. so if you have any questions or comments please ask only in english. It wouldn´t be fair to forum members they only speak english if you start any conversations in german and you wouldn´t get much of response on your questions either. In case you are having language problems so you can send me messages and I will try to help you.

Goodluck

Here is the link to the form your fiance will be completing. You do not have to provide proof of relationship at this stage. You only have to provide proof that you have met in person within the last 2 years.

You can read here about people's experiences at the Frankfurt Consulate.

A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.
