If you don't need a gun, then choose not to have one. You can even put a sign outside your house that says "NO GUNS IN THIS HOUSE" Your choice. I prefer to let the criminals guess who has a gun.

I did and continue to choose not to have one. That's merely a statement of the obvious - it goes without saying.

I don't live in fear of criminals.

I am happy for you. Neither do I. AND I am pro-choice.

You say that - but you obviously spend time thinking about what criminals think about. Why?

Actually I spend no time thinking about criminals. Really, they never cross my mind. I am truly not afraid of criminals. I live where everyone can have a gun to defend themselves and the crime rate here us far below Canada or UK. I do not even HAVE locks on my doors. The doorknobs are like those on a closet. No locks. None. There IS NO key to the house. Do you REALLY think I worry about criminals?

Law enforcement people get CALLED TO dangerous situations facing hevaily armed people, or at least they can. Us plain ol Joes are just defending ourselves. We don't have to have more firepower than the criminal, only more than the next potential victim.

Nope, he doesn't worry about criminals at all.

I think Gary needs to read between his own lines.

Why appeal to fear of not to suggest that people ought to be afraid? The mind boggles...

In what way do I appeal to fear? I keep with me at all times the MEANS to kill anyone that would injure myself or my family. Then I never worry about it. where is the disconnect? I bet you have a spare tire. I do. Do you worry about flat tires? I don't. I have a spare.

Nice to be so well read. That was posted in the RUB forum so I guess you are archiving my posts.

If you will post the context of that thread you will see that I have very little worry about criminals and their abilities. You have the posts why not put them out there for all? wow, That is bizarre. I can honestly say I do not go around saving what other members post. I don't worry about other people so much.

Do you wear a parachute in case you fall off a cliff?

Do you wear a bullet proof vest under your shirt?

How about a gas mask?

Ron has now officially lost the argument. Thanks.

Had I been in the crowd I would have capped him off before he killed number 2. Too bad I don't go to Democrat rallies, eh? I would not wait until he ran out of bullets...I have no need to.

maybe that's why not many republicans have been shot at rallies - there's good odds the people there are armed.

I carry a gun because a cop is too heavy.

The point is you seem to see the possibility of crime as an inevitability.

I've never been the victim of a violent crime anywhere, ever. It's not something I need to have a contingency against.
