INS received my i-129f in September 2, 2010. It's been four months and i haven't heard from them. I've checked online, called them and spoken to a representative, but everyone is really short with me and basicly just tell me to wait until they send me something. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to know what is going on with my application or to make things faster?

***** Moving from General Immigration to K1 forum as OP is asking about a fiance visa *****

Do you really mean you have not heard at all? Ie, your check not cashed, no NOA1? If so, sounds like they never got your petition. If you got NOA1, a wait of 5 months is normal. Nothing you can do to make it go faster I am afraid :(

If you will read enough you will know that 5 months is the time the USCIS expects to process your petition in. Not a deadline but a guideline without guarantee.

Wait and then wait some more. When your NOA1 date was more than 5 months ago, give them a call. Most of us have waited more than we care to. my girl is interviewing on the 18th. I haven't seen her since May 2010.....8 months.

99% of the questions already have been answered and since you have the time, read a little.

It is just frustrating when you see others file after you with no expidite and get noa2 and no one will tell you why you are still waiting thins process makes no sense the way it is done

Have you called your local senator?

Either way I have noticed it is a wait, it seems if your loved one is from Morocco, they seem to make you wait even longer.

My husband and I are going on 7 months and we still have no answers and we have called, written, emailed everyone under the sun. And everyone gives a different answer, till when we will be adjudicated. VERY FRUSTRATING!!!!

Good Luck on your Journey.

when i read other timelines on here...i see that a lot of them have waited a lot of time but there "accept or decline" of the i-129f petition went fast...so i get frustrated but i guess we just have to be calm and positive!
