Hi everyone

I have a question regarding I-865 form.

I’m sponsoring a relative(form i-864 recieved 8 days ago by NVC), but the case is still in NVC and it’s probable not to be accepted.

I wonder if I should fill out I-865 right now in USCIS(I just moved 3 days ago)and in this case My relative doesn't have any A number to put on form I-865, or wait till the case be accepted (it takes 20 days) and if accepted and given an A number, change my address in USCIS.

(I have sent an email to NVC to inform my new address).

Thanks for any advice

File it only after the relative has green-card after entry to the USA, until then you technically have not sponsored an immigrant.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

Hi...

I have a quick question. I am in a similar situation.

I am LPR and trying to sponser my wife and daughter(F2A). our case is in consulate stage. we had our interview last month and our case is under Administrative Processing(AP). I submitted the I-864 to NVC last August.

I did move last month. I did filed AR-11. so, do I have to file I-865?

Please Advice me.

Thank you.

Thank You, It makes sense.

I believe it should be the same thing for user Kuraish, eventhough his case is in consulate.

Kuraish if you get more information, please let me know

Almost one year has passed from my question here and my relative got his visa for immigrating to U.S. But he hasn't moved to the states yet. I'm a USC and her sole sponsor. Should i fill out I-865 right away or my obligations begin when he enters the states?

thanks,

Mitra
