Just a quick post --- hi everyone, I am new here....

James here from South Florida, married on Jan 20, 2006 in Colombia, prepared, checked, re-checked, and sent in the I-130 on Feb 6, 2006....

However, still waiting for the "Notice of Action" to be returned. I even sent the packet via USPS, with a signature required at the other end. Still NOTHING!

I had read a few posts/comments where they had only waited a few days to 2 weeks to recieve the "Notice of Action", so I am a bit concerned. The instructions stated to send the I-130 to the Texas Service Center (a PO box in Mesquite, Tx.), so I was a little confused as to how I will get a signature from the person recieving the packet.

Anyway -- good to be here. Hi everyone!

Just was a little concerned by the fact that I still have not recieved any notice that the packet was recieved with a signature. Plus sending to a PO box, was wondering if this was even possible!

....waiting patiently :whistle: (no mail today, arrrrrggghh!).

Nice to meet people in very similar circumstances.... Actually, I am planning another trip in March (it's very nice that Col is so close and only a 2hr flight seperation is all there is).

Hi & welcome James!

We sent our I-130 to the Texas office around the same time you did (they received it on Feb 3rd) and we just got our I797C receipt on Saturday (Feb 18th) :D

Keep an eye on your bank account - we knew our notice was on it's way when we checked out balance last Thursday & the check had cleared! :yes:

Hang in there - you should have it any day now. Good luck!

14-Dec-05: Sent I-130 to London for DCF

28-Dec-05: Letter from Embassy denying due to LLR

17-Jan-06: RFE from TX due to "lack of payment"; USCIS won't accept credit card form from Embassy

01-Feb-06: Sent new I-130 to TX with personal check

02-June-06: NOA2

05-June-06: Case received at NVC; case # assigned

26-June-06: DS-3032 Choice of Agent rec'd via snail mail

don't worry about the NOA1 ....it took 16 days for us to come....when we called INS they told us it can actually take up to 30 days sometimes....
