Maida&Edin's interview date was changed to March 9th, 2010. C'mon Maida & Edin!

Apologies if I state in a comment that my husband and I have been together for years & years. It's just that I can hardly remember a time when he and I were not together.

Ahhhhhhhhhh!!! We are currently in Administrative Processing with no time-lines to guide us!

My husband is looking at cars in Trinidad for me as his wish has come true! Me a Trini-Wife!

BUT

I will call DoS weekly to check the progress and I will not give up hope.

July of 2011 is the cut off date for us, when I will either start construction on a home here in the US or return to Trinidad to be with my husband.

good luck to everyone in March !!! my date of 28th is arriving and I am getting nervous. Will be getting all the paper work together again over the weekend. I am planning to fly to be with the wife, not sure if it helps, but just want to be there to support her. wishing us all best of luck !!!

Approved also! Sorry for the late news tho. Kinda stressed out now. Lady told us passport would be returned within a week with visa packet but we havent heard anything yet. Anybody know how long it usually takes??

My wife had a friends' mom who recently went thru the interview process and it took them a week to send back the passport. You did not get any additional processing document did you ? If not then stay calm, it will come thru.

By the way can you please share your interview experience, mines is coming up on the 28th. Planning to fly in to be with the wife.

Okay, we may be the first to break this 'approved visa chain'. We got a 221(g) Administrative Processing with a ton of questions about husband's ex-wife. They gave back all paperwork, gave back husband's visa, and told him they'd contact him. I have emailed consulate and asked that they please contact us in a timely manner whether we were approved or denied. I was planning on buying a house at the end of this month, have plans drawn up and acreage bought, but I have to be out of an apartment by July, so if no word, I am heading back to Trinidad. It is hard for a proud man to ridiculed for the number of marriages by a sly secretary collecting & stapling paperwork or be questioned and have your private life be put under a microscope. I have until July for my apartment lease to be up, so if we are still waiting, I'll sell everything and head back to Trini.
