Hi all,

I have a green card interview (in Charleston) on september 27th. I have heard lots of chatter about the need for me to get a new medical done. i am very confused about this.

1)When I applied for AOS I submitted my vaccination supplement (I had all the vaccines when I had the medical in the UK). i did not get a RFE. Now, so i need a new medical, or am I to assume I am ok with hat I already submitted? I tried calling, but they were not much help.

2) Also, my current EAD runs out on 23th November 2006. I assume I will get my geencard in plenty of time after September 27th so that i need not apply for a new EAD? What do people think?

3) I submitted all the required information and form I-864 to affirm sponsorhip. gain, I got no RFE for these. Do I need to get all that together again?

Confused.

I also didn't submit an I693a or another medical. When I didn't get an RFE I went ahead with the interview and no questions were asked. My advice is, can you handle a delay of a few weeks if they do ask you for it in the interview (some have been asked for it but not all)? If you can take the delay it may cause then don't worry about it else get the vac supplement (not the full medical.)

If nothing is missing then there is a very good chance that you will get your green card before the EAD expires. Also, you don't have to take another I864 if info has not changed substantially - the interviewer asked me if anything had changed and I told him nothing except for a small raise - he was Ok with it. Good Luck
