I received this response from the NVC from an email that I sent to them early last week regarding the IV package approval. I called the NVC yesterday and was told that the case was set to be completed next Thursday. I got this response today at 1pm. Does this mean that I may get an RFE? Or is this standard verbiage? Please help! I freaking out..

"Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC).

Please be advised this case is currently under additional processing.

The NVC will send further instructions once this processing is

completed." :bonk:

It says your case is under AP. Its probably background checks.

If it was an RFE request it would say they are requesting more information from you and to wait for the letter in the mail.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Thank you for your responses. I was stressing cause I never received an email over the weekend. It was a surprise. It still is in the 20 processing time since the day that they received the IV packet.

Would not request additional information via email since I am listed as my husband's choice of agent?

Thanks!

Iv never seen anyone get an EMAIL RFE only emails saying they got an RFE and to wait for the RFE in the mail. Unless they changed it and generate RFE EMAILS now instead of mailing them.

This whole process is so crazy. I think that I will call next week just to see if there any updates. If there is an request for additional information, do you know if they will tell me what details are needed?

Thanks!

You can ask, sadly the general consensus is they tell you to wait for it in the mail lol. Usually the phone operators don't have access to what the letter actually says, only have access to small bits of information from your case because they never actually see or work on it, just what is made available to them on their computer screens.

So with that being said, it is possible that the email is to vague as they cannot see what is actually is going on with my case. Thank you for your input.

Moving to NVC forum, no need for this topic to be in US Citizenship forum.

I cannot find this post since you moved it. Where is it exactly?

Oh no.................................. I'm not sure how the person on the phone could've said that it was to be completed and then you would get this email though. I'm praying that this is just some kind of mistake and there won't be any more delays.....

This makes no sense, but I must just relax and pray for the best.

Thank you. I hope that this email was just worded incorrectly and not a reality as I sent everything in correctly. Both of his criminal clearances were clean. They already processed the AOS packet and received an email that they only need to process the IV packet which I sent in twenty days after the AOS was completed.

Have a nice day!
