I posted the other day about my AOS interview in Baltimore. The only problem they have is that they can't get a reading on my fingerprints. I have a relatively mild case of exema on my fingers, but I have had it my whole life, and as a result my prints are illegible. They are therefore making me get a local police report before they will approve my file.

At first I thought "well that's an annoyance, but OK I'll get this done asap."

Meanwhile I was asking my lawyer about this and got the following from him:

I dont want to scare you but I have had problems over the years with people who dont "print" as the USCIS can never clear their cases. Lots of nannies have that problem as they are cleaning all day and the cleaning chemicals wash away their prints.

WHAT?!?!?!? You mean there is a chance I might have gone through all this just to fail because of a medical condition?!?!?!? Don't they get tons of people with problematic fingers, or even missing limbs for that matter? They must have some kind of backup plan! I am not going to panic yet, but this whole thing makes me very uneasy and I was wondering if any of you had problems with your prints and how it turned out.
