I don't know where to start, but it would be natural to assume that my husband used me and left me. Last week, we came back from our trip up north and on Monday at 11 am my husband calls in the morning to make sure I am ok as usual. Then when I get home in the evening he is gone with his stuff and luggage. No note or sign of letting anyone know. His family abroad does not know anything. I am also pregnant. This is someone who is constantly calling me and updating me. There has been no problems betweeen us as a matter of fact I have been supportive of him through everything. I filed a missing persons report and they are looking for him. But, keep in mind this is someone who is so concerned about me. No one suspected he could do something like that. We had a great time in SF! Its been about 6 days since he has been missing and no one knows. Is this immigration fraud did he really use me? The police told me to not assume anything. Was he just putting on a act all this time? I don't know what to think. Will they find him soon? That is fine if he wants to stay and I am prepared for that. But he could have called and left a note. How long should I wait before I assume that this is fraud? I just want some answers for this unusual behaviour. Can ICE do something and find him? He got his conditional green card for 2 years. What is all this? Even if he was unhappy its in his nature to confront his family or friends? He did lose his job a few weeks back, but he was confident he would find something. I supported him through everything. How long should I wait?

Have you considered getting a private investigator? sometimes they find out more than the police do. The whole thing does sound strange if its not in his nature.

I can't seem to edit my message, so to add details I am just going to tell you that he has not used his phone since he left. Its switched off and he did not have much money on him. Is someone supporting him and is he staying with them?

Yes, I have but its costly. Lets say the worst situation does happen, how long does it take for ICE to deport him? Because I don't want someone to have used me and my famil like this.

If all his things are gone it sounds like he had more than enough time to write one, do you think his family is supporting him and he got a new phone/number? I would doubt someone came in and " took " him or kidnapped him since all his stuff is gone. ICE probably would take quite a while to do anything to deport him.

i have not been able to sleep, and feel betrayed. So, i know you may not have all the answers, but I am just trying to figure out all this. And just talking about this may guide me in the right direction.

I feel sorry for you. i hope you'll be okey.

if you havent mentioned that his stuff & luggage are gone, it could have been possible that something bad happened to him ( god forbid ) and didnt intentionally tried to leave you. considering you said yourself that is not his nature and that you're pregnant maybe its better for you to wait for a while for the police report.

I just want to find him first so I can move on if I have to.

What country is he from? DO you have joint bank accounts that he can withdraw money from? Does he have a key to your home? Does he own his car or are you or him making payments on it? These are things you can look into to see if there is any activity or where he is

Good luck, I am so sorry for your situation

I'm soo sorry about your situation..NO ONE deserves to be treated this way. I hope all works out for you, but try to take it easy. you've done all you can to try to find him by reporting him missing to the police. All you have to do now is stay strong and take care of your unborn child and God will take care of the rest. If after a while he doesn't show up, do report him to ICE and if he tries to ROC from his 2yr Green card he'll have a hard time doing it. Again i'm sorry for what you're going through. God bless.
