I am just wondering if the Consulate interview to get the IR-1/CR-1 spouse visa is any different than the interview one would have to get the Fiancee Visa? In effect, with official documentation and photos of the civil wedding in Kenya, affidavits from friends of both of us attesting to the continuing nature of our relationship, and then a long chain of phone records, email records, cell phone text message logs, moneygram receipts, photos and receipts and passport entry and exit stamps from multiple trips to Kenya, it would seem to be to just be a "rubber stamp" kind of interview, but yet I am wary that there will be intimidation, which I hope to minimize by making an appointment and being present for the interview.

Do couples get interviewed standing up at the window, like a lone person does?

Gene,

For IR or CR-1, you will not need take any documents except maybe the ones you give to your spouse (i.e. phone logs, emails, money transfers, etc., etc. to prove bona fides). The reason for this is because you will turn all of the documents to the NVC and when they have all that they need, they will send it to the embassy and schedule an interview for your spouse. You might also check avd read the wiki about the NVC process.

Oh I know that, I know I will only need to provide further proof of ongoing relationship beyond the point where I submitted the I-130. I am just wondering about the intimidation factor (if it is as great as for a Fiancee Visa), and the situations (if different) for a joint interview appearance.

Similar questions are asked for both. But no matter the type of visa you file they treat it just as serious. There isn't any leniency depending on the visa you chose. So chose which ever Visa best suits your situation! And it will all work out if you follow each step fully!
