My guess is this kid already was troubled and perhaps bought into some of the rhetoric going on in this country and decided to make a name for himself. They're going to have to beef up security for public events like this from now on, which is a tragedy because less lawmakers will be brave enough to make public appearances without a secure venue.

Law makers don't need a secure venue, nor should they get one unless they use their own $$$.

If you're going to get shot, then perhaps it's on you and your policies.

The second amendment is there for that reason. To overthrow an out of control government. There again though, if you're doing this in a small Arizona district, it's a damn waste of time. You want to make a big bang, you've got to think bigger than a lowly congressman and need to take out multiple higher officials.

Are you serious or is this just another of your crazy statements? The second amendment is certainly not there to allow nutjobs to kill politicians because they don't like their policies. Democratically elected governments politicians are not legitimate targets and suggesting that they are is completely contrary to the American constitution.
