Submitting K1 Petition and Fees from abroad.

Hi everyone.

What is your experience in submitting and also paying for the K1 petition from abroad?

I pretty much have all the necessary material, but am trying to figure out how I'm going to pay, since I don't have any checks with me.

From what I can see, people have used a local US address of a friend or parents to submit from, can they also submit a moneyorder or check in my behalf?

Thanks.

Same here - we both live abroad (in the UK); used a money order and use my parents US address for mailing simplicity

  • 1 year later...
Filed: Timeline

I'm an American man living and working in Hanoi for the last two years. My fiance is Vietnamese and we're trying to figure out the smoothest way to get married and live together in the U.S. My only income is from my jobs here (nothing coming from the U.S.). If we apply for a K1 visa, will I need to go back to the U.S. alone and get a job so I can put an American job on the I-134 form? We could, of course, get married over here, but my question would still be the same: What is the best way for us to get married and live in the U.S. together, while having the shortest amount of time apart? Thanks a lot for your help.
