Your fiancee is from what country? In the Philippines, St. Luke's Extension Clinic is the medical facility assigned by the US embassy to perform medical exams of visa applicants. SLEC will give the age-required vaccines unless she already received them before. She just have to bring past vaccination records or show a scar during the immunization interview if she already had chicken pox before. The immunization is included in the medical fee.

Believe it or not, this is one area where the USCIS actually gives you choices.

Her vaccinations do not need to be current until the AOS interview. Any time up to then is fine, including using a local doctor or clinic in her country, the medical exam doctor, or a doctor here in the U.S. (not recommended unless you will have her covered under your health insurance due to $$$). She should bring whatever vaccination records she has to the medical exam, the more the better. I also heard of a specific blood test that can be done to determine what vaccinations she had in the past if she knows she had them but cannot get the records.

The cost includes any vaccines that are missing. Some require more than one appointment and some may not be available or not needed due to age. Allow time to complete the series if they don't already have them. If you don't complete the vaccines on a K1 you are still allowed to come but you must then pay for them here before AOS which is expensive.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Thanks for your reply. My fiancee is a Nigerian. We would wait until she goes for her medical exam. I also want to find out from those in Nigeria if my fiancee has to go to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abuja to stamp some of her documents like birth certificate. I hear people do that to show their documents are authentic.

Although you don't need official copies with your i129f, I have heard of RFEs solely because the authenticity of the copies were questioned. So official copies are a better choice.

At the interview, all copies must be official and accompanied by certified English translations.

If she is in Lagos she can just go to the local government and get the long form of the birth certificate. Lagos has a short birth certificate and a long one...she will need the long one it is the official certified one that they will take at the embassy. She shouldnt have to travel to Abuja for any of these documents.
